Privacy Policy

Tech Labs, Inc. operates GagePilot. This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information in connection with the website and Service.

Information we collect

We collect account and contact information, workspace and support information, Customer Data submitted to the Service (such as instrument and calibration records), billing information handled by Stripe, and technical and usage data such as device, browser, approximate location, pages viewed, and event data.

How we use information

We use information to provide and secure the Service, authenticate users, process subscriptions, provide support, communicate transactionally, prevent abuse, comply with law, and understand and improve the product. With consent where required, we also use analytics and marketing communications. You can opt out of marketing email at any time.

Service providers and disclosures

We use service providers to operate the Service, including Google Cloud/Firebase for infrastructure, Stripe for payments, Mailgun for email delivery, Help Scout for support, and Google Analytics for product and website analytics. The Help Scout Beacon may process support questions, the account or workspace identity supplied to it, and help-content interactions. When enabled, its AI Answers feature uses GagePilot help content to respond and can hand the conversation to our team. We disclose information where required by law, to protect rights and safety, in a business transaction, or with your direction. We do not sell personal information or use Customer Data for advertising.

Cookies and analytics

We use Sentry for technical error reporting so we can investigate failures in the website, application, and API. Reports include code stack locations, deployment information, and general operation or error-status labels. Error reporting is configured to exclude account identities, credentials, request bodies, form contents, and customer records. Session replay, performance tracing, and log collection are disabled.

We use necessary first-party storage and cookies for authentication, security, and remembering your privacy choice. These are needed to provide the Service. In the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and when location is unavailable, Google Analytics is off until you accept analytics. In other regions it may run unless you reject it. Google Analytics may set analytics cookies (including _ga and a property-specific _ga_* cookie, generally retained for up to two years) and collect device, browser, approximate location, pages viewed, and product or website events. We configure analytics to anonymize IP addresses and do not use Customer Data for advertising.

For visitors in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, optional analytics are off by default. Choosing “Reject optional” prevents Google Analytics from loading. “Analytics only” or “Accept both” enables it across gagepilot.com and app.gagepilot.com for up to one year. The preference cookie is named gp_analytics_consent. You can change your choice at any time using . Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that occurred before withdrawal. You can also control cookies in your browser. Google explains its processing in its privacy policy.

Reddit ad measurement is separate from Google Analytics and is off until you choose “Accept both” in our privacy preferences. “Analytics only” keeps Reddit measurement off. With that permission, the Reddit Pixel receives public page visits, completed workspace setup, browser information and available Reddit click identifiers. We do not add account names, email addresses, instrument records or uploaded files to those event payloads. Workspace setup is measured through a separate blank page that cannot read the dashboard’s content; the Reddit Pixel does not load on dashboard pages. Workspace setup is not proof of a paying customer. Reddit describes its processing in its privacy policy.

Your separate advertising preference is stored in gp_ad_measurement_consent for up to one year. Consented campaign attribution is stored in gp_attribution for up to 90 days and shared between the marketing site and dashboard. You can choose analytics without advertising measurement, reject both, or change these choices using . A rejection takes precedence in every region; withdrawing advertising consent reloads the page to unload the pixel. Browser restrictions and declined consent can limit measurement.

Retention, security, and location

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the Service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and maintain backups. Data is processed in the United States. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, but no system is completely secure.

Your choices

You may request access, correction, deletion, or a portable copy of personal information, subject to applicable law and verification. Workspace owners can export available workspace data. To make a request or appeal a decision, contact us below.
